Pulmonary Nodule

A nodule or lump in your lung, formally known as Pulmonary Nodule, is a common medical condition. Most of the lung nodules are caused by a past respiratory infection. But the difficulty is they usually don’t show symptoms. These are often diagnosed by a chest X-ray or CT scan, performed for some other issues.

However, Pulmonary Nodules may cause symptoms like:

  • Wheezing
  • Coughing with or without Blood
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Fever, Especially if You Have Pneumonia

You may have one or multiple nodules in your lungs that are often caused by inflammation from fungal infections, tuberculosis (TB), lung abscess, round pneumonia, etc. Determining if a pulmonary nodule is benign or cancerous is important. Therefore, consulting a doctor can be helpful if you have a mild difficulty breathing or abnormal cough for a long time.
